About

Hi! I am Tatjana – blogger, runner, photographer, do-gooder, dreamer, world-traveler, coffee lover – currently living in the Greater Los Angeles Area (via Germany, UK, Michigan, Texas).

Exploring, hiking, running, and photography are my great passions and for now I am roaming Southern California in search of the perfect hike.

In 2013, I created No Heels Just Sneakers to share my journey to create a healthy and happy life. I have run over 30 half marathons and marathons as part of Team in Training’s marathon group. Since 2009, I have raised over $30,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

In 2014, I created a virtual race series through No Heels Just Sneakers  to encourage others to create a healthier lifestyle for themselves by ditching the couch, eating healthy, and joining a running or walking challenge. All profits from these events were donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

My blog has evolved since then to include many of my hiking and photography adventures. I finally brought out my DSLR in 2018 to learn how to use it better (it’s been sitting on a shelf since 2012…). Though still no expert in photography, I am currently evolving my personal style and learning what type of photos I like to take really. My hiking and exploring adventures take me to some fun places to experiment with my camera.

My 2019 quest will be to create another opportunity to do good and make the world a tiny bit better, one step at a time. Stay tuned…

The photo above is from my favorite hiking trail taken in November 2018 – Araby Trail in Palm  Springs.

North Lykken Trail, Palm Springs
